Roker ropes Bert as veep

Clear skies ahead for new veep

Al Roker Entertainment has named BBC America's Victoria Bert veep of development and production, CEO and "Today" weatherman Roker said Tuesday.
Bert will oversee day-to-day operations at the production company, developing talent, documentaries, original series and reality programming. She will report to prexy Lisa Sharkey.

At BBC America, Bert was producer and director for TLC's "What Not to Wear." She has produced shows for Food Network, Fox Television, VH1, King World, and Fox News. Previously, she was a producer for Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" and for Fox's "Good Day New York."

Roker's Gotham-based company produces his "Al Roker Investigates" documentary series, as well as historical docs including History Channel's "An Honor Deferred" and reality programming such as Food Network's "Celebrity Food Fight."

 Having reached high levels in the genres of News, Reality TV, Documentary Television, and Programming Development, Victoria has a unique combination of production, development and management experience.

She understands what it takes to make fresh addictive television. Victoria works with talented producers, writers and  On-Air Talent in order to facilitate the the right idea or project with the right Network.

A Development Executive on her own since 2002 as well as VP of Development and Production for AL Roker Productions, Inc., Chatsby Film Group and Dogmatic, Inc she's gained insight and knowledge about what sells in a room and what connects with viewers.  In addition she recognizes new opportunities in branded entertainment and the emerging multi platform outlets. 

Victoria is a native New Yorker. She currently resides in Manhattan.
